Happy Daylight Savings Day

Happy Daylight Savings Day! I always love Daylight Savings. It means more sun after work and the day itself is a reminder that spring is here and soon after summer. I love summer.

Although, it really is a pretty silly tradition. I wish we would abolish it and move Washington up a time zone (or is it back?) so that we are forever in Daylight Savings mode.

Here is a video explaining Daylight Savings:

Cheers!

  1. This is VERY educational! I never knew the origins of Daylight Savings Time...and while I understand why people are annoyed by changing the clocks, I have to say, I always love it when we "spring forward" and our days feel longer. Who needs light in the morning anyway? Ha ha.

  2. Isn't that a great video? I LOVE springing forward. I love coming home after work and it is still light out. I don't like falling back though. I would be OK with abolishing it, because even though I love daylight savings, I think it is kind of a strange tradition and I would get over it. It has the largest positive impact for me early in the year, but by the time it is Summer it really doesn't make sense anymore. In Seattle, the sun ends up setting around 9:30 to 10:00 at night in the summer! I think I could forgive it to set earlier... but I still really love it too. My hope is that Washington would quit doing it, but then just change our time zone so we are permanently in Day Light Savings mode, haha!
