I've Moved! The blog that is

I am so excited! How excited? This excited:

I am happy to announce that I have moved the blog! Whoopee! Yay!

Where did you move, you might be asking?

Contrary to popular belief, I decided moving to Blogger was best for me. I plead with you, please please please come check out the new site and update your bookmarks/follow method.
  • If you followed me via email: please sign up with the new email list via the widget on the right.
  • If you followed via Bloglovin': please follow the new blog address.
  • If you followed me via the WordPress reader: please select a new method to follow me by.
I am attempting a solution to retain my WordPress followers, but I can't guarantee it will work. So if you update your follow method, I would be much obliged!

Here are my social links if you prefer to follow me that way:

Head over to the new site at ngnrdgrl.blogspot.com {if you aren't here already!}, check it out and let me know what you think. I have an updated about me page and blogroll page, so check those out!

Also, in case you need a little more encouragement, I have my first GIVEAWAY at the new blog going on RIGHT NOW. So check it out already!

I'll be going over why and how I moved shortly, so stay tuned!

  2. Just started re-following you via bloglovin', so I'm sure to stay in the loop on all of your ngnrdgrl goodness. And Bethany, after a quick tour around the new digs, everything is looking amazing. I loved perusing the project gallery and seeing so many projects that were new to me because they were written in the days before I knew you...of course, the blogroll rocked my world because I was honored to see so many familiar faces, including my own (thank you)...and the about page was such a delight to pore over. You really have put so much work into making this a welcoming space that is user-friendly and my friend, I can say with confidence, that your hard work as paid off. Brava, my friend!

    Warmly,

    1. Thank you so much! I am feeling really good about this move. I was so jelly over your move, but really wasn't feeling that was the right direction for me. I am really enjoying having more control over how my blog looks and feels. Having this control is encouraging and keeps me positive about blogging. Thanks again for being such a wonderful bloggy companion!

      Hugs!
      Bethany

  3. P.S. The social media icons in this post are displaying the Pin-It button, so they're not really leading to the link they should. I know there's a code you can add to remove the pin-it button from certain images within a post, but I'm not quite sure what it is. Just wanted to give you the heads-up! And if you figure it out, let me know. Because I probably could stand to take the pin-it button off of my signature for each post. Fun times!

    1. Doh! I fixed it. If you add "nopin" to your class argument in an image it will not add the pin-it button. Example: <img src="bla blah" class="nopin" ... . It will also ignore those pictures when someone uses a pin-it bookmarklet tool. Such a cool feature! I'm not sure if WordPress.com allowed you to use it. I think I tried and it got stripped from my html. So much happier having freedom with my code! :D
