WW#9: Snow Day (plus linky)

It has been a while since I have blogged. When you take a break from blogging, it can be hard to get back into the rhythm.

We had a snow day here in Seattle (which is rare), so it inspired me to go out and take some photos. Of course, I then had to share!

So after uploading all these photos, Google+ auto created this animated gif and sent it to me! Crazy!

  1. Wow! Snow on the west side of the state? I'm in Spokane and all of our snow is melting. We are supposed to have temps in the 40s for the rest of the week. Enjoy your Wednesday!

    1. Isn't it crazy? I can't remember when it snowed last in Seattle. And it wasn't like this! It snowed Saturday night. These pictures were taken Sunday. It's all gone now and I doubt we'll see any more. Fun for us!

  2. What a wonderful winter wonderland! Delaware has been getting snow more often than usual, but only enough at a time for it to make the roads icy. The pristine white rarely lasts long enough on pretty branches like that. :(

    1. We can go a few years without getting snow. This snow day only lasted a little over a day and will be the only snow we get this season. It was nice, but I wouldn't want to commute in it. Seattle is SUPER hilly! We actually had a car run into our neighbors car the night it snowed because they tried going down our hill.

    1. We don't get much winter around these parts, so it was really refreshing to actually get snow. It only lasted the day, thank goodness! I'm not a fan of commuting in the snow. I'm a summer girl, myself. :)

  4. Such beautiful pictures! (I definitely prefer to look at snow in pictures rather than in my own yard, lol!) I love the effects you added with editing too-- I would really love to get better with editing software! Thanks so much for sharing, my friend! Happy Valentine's Day!

    1. Thank you! You are like my fiance then. As soon as I saw it was snowing on Saturday at 9:30 PM, I was all, "lets go for a walk!" I love getting all bundled up and going out in the snow. I feel like a little kid in awe. He just looked at me like I was crazy and continued to look at me funny the next day when I insisted on that walk. Hehe!

My fiance bought me lightroom for a present. I would really recommend it for photography. It also is nice for blogging in that you can mass apply edits, mass add a watermark and mass optimize for putting on a website. Much nicer than the freeware out there, although I still use PicMonkey for making graphics. Since my fiance is a student, he got it half off. When you buy it digitally directly from adobe, you get two copies. So my recommendation is to find a student and split the cost!
