WW#16: National Lemonade Day (w/ Linky!)

Did you know today is National Lemonade Day?

I didn't have enough lemons to make fresh lemonade, but I wanted to share with you one of my new favorite beverages: Sparkling Lemon Water.

My doctor recommended lemon water as a way to help break down kidney stones (here are the health benefits). I got super into drinking a glass of water with 1/2 lemon squeezed into it. Then I discovered carbonated water and... YUMMY!

It was so good, my husband (so cool calling him that now!) joined me in drinking it. It's now our favorite evening or hot day beverage. It's also low in calories with less than 10 calories per glass.

I decided to take this national holiday as an opportunity to practice photography on lemons and my lemon beverage. I think lemons are quite photogenic. The drink not so much.

Ok, so that wasn't really wordless... but on to the linky!

  1. Sounds delicious! You did get some great lemon photos. I played around photographing a light yellow carbonated beverage and found the best shot was an angled close up with the beverage in glass that was not smooth and placed on a green surface.
    Have a great day!

    1. Great tips! My beverage was almost clear, so the white background was probably a terrible idea. Thanks and have a great day too!
